JOB SUMMARY

Study participants are needed to evaluate audio prompts with the aim of improving virtual keyboard technology in various under-represented languages. The participants’ submission and feedback will aid in pushing technological development in their native language.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Adjust device settings to match study requirements
Speak approximately 30 prompts into the keyboard app
Type out the keyboard output
Answering questions on how well the keyboard captures the prompts
Temporarily download a specific version of the keyboard app onto your phone
Log in and use an account provided to you by project management
Provide feedback via form outside the keyboard app

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to read, write and speak in the language associated with the study
Ability to read and write in English (preferred)
Posses a mid-to-high-end Android device (i.e. Pixel 6+, Samsung S21+, etc.)
- Minimum Android version: 12
NOTE: It will not be possible to complete the study unless you use the minimum device and version requirements. Payment will not be made for incomplete or unusable submissions.

COMPENSATION
Compensation for this study is a one-time payment to be provided upon successful completion and review of the participant’s submission and feedback.

Project completion and feedback: $45
Payment method: Grey or Tremendous payment platforms, dependent on geographic location
Estimated time commitment: 120-150 minutes

Please note that the pay rate is in US dollars and payment will be made in US dollars. The amount received in local currency will vary according to exchange rates.
